Dishes were nicely presented and tasted good for the most part. Nothing out of this world which is supposedly the concept of the restaurant -Ingredients × Cooking × Simplicity. I think I prefer complexity more these days which is why I only gave a 4 star. My criteria for 5 stars is a place I wouldn't hesitate to go back to. The tableware is very nice, just wish more could have been spent on ingredients or portion size.I'll about I do eat more then most.The sousvide trout was probably my favorite dish. The lily beignets were interesting but wish they were sweet instead of savory. Service was excellent with the server doing her best to translate into English. The number of stars indicates just how intricate and complex the experience is going to be. First the food.....unfortunately we found the entire meal to be more on the bland side. The fish course, Spanish mackerel, was the most flavorful. Unfortunately, the wagyu beef course was basically inedible SO tough.....unsure if it was the cut used or quality. Either way it is inexcusable for a restaurant at this level. Service was pretty good. Overall very disappointing experience, especially relative to the cost. I would not recommend. Decor/atmosphere: 3.4/5 nice place setting but the tables are tucked into a small space....temperature was also a little on the warm side Apps: 3/5 Main: 2.9/5 again the beef course basically ruined the meal Desserts: 3/5 Service: 3.5/5 unfortunately the meal took longer than it should Drinks/selection: 2.5/5 were out of several bottles that we tried to order Value: 2/5 very small portions relative to cost/taste/quality Overall: 3/5, would not recommend Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ¥10,000+ Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
