If it had to compete in a larger Japanese city, it would struggle to stay in business for more than a few months. The MARU croquettes were awful - just small, deep-fried lumps of nothing. The Mishima beef steak was tough and flavorless, like eating an old boot. The pork belly was unappetizing in both appearance and taste. The only decent item we ordered was the beef sushi. Overall, it was a disappointing dining experience.

As I walked past the restaurant, a fellow diner recommended the fish and meat dishes, which did not disappoint. The owner's Tokyo heritage added some personal charm to the dining experience.
