They offer delicious vegan sweets like biscuits and muffins for takeaway, as well as the option to pre-order a veganized version of your lunch. The restaurant may be small, but it has a cozy atmosphere and the food is definitely worth the wait. We ordered a salad, soup, rice, and a few extra dishes, and everything was fantastic. The sweet and sour “pork” dish was particularly outstanding. While it might be a bit out of the way and require advance reservation, I would still recommend checking out Shokudō Poco if you're in the area.

My party opted for the tatami seating and ordered the vegan plate, which includes 8 dishes including miso soup and salad. The soy meat sweet and sour dish was particularly delicious, tasting just like the non-vegan version I had before going vegan. We also bought a large vegan cookie to take home, and the total bill for two came to 3564 yen, which we felt was great value for the quality of the food. I recommend giving this place a try, but be sure to inquire in advance about the availability of the fully vegan menu. Shokudō Poco, run by a hardworking woman, is located a 15-minute walk from Fujigaoka station. They offer wonderful vegan desserts for takeaway and allow reservations for a veganized lunch plate with advance notice. The restaurant may be small, but it does not feel crowded, and the food is definitely worth the wait. Don't let the location or reservation requirement deter you from trying this gem in the area.
