best udon in japan so far. the noodles are beautiful and chewy and cooked for perfection. the vegan broth was also really good and had additional sweetness in it (mainly mushrooms). the personal was also nice and when they first accidentally gave me the non-vegan broth, they apologised and exchanged them, no need to annoy. I ordered the vegan udon and tempura, and it was some of the best I have had in Japan. So easy to order vegan at this restaurant.
So cosy udon restrant. The udon soup is made from a kelp. The oil, for the tempura, separates for vegetable and sea food and chicken.
These homemade (vegan) udon noodles hit the spot. The pickled vegetables were great, too. Loved that we could easily order vegan/vegetarian noodles without having to explain what they meantthe options were already on the menu. :)
The Udon are homemade and really good. I also find it very cheap for the quantity quality (the normal portion is fulfilling, the large portion worth if you are really hungry). Also, it's nice to not see meat everywhere the only nonvegan things on the Udon menu are eggs. If you close your eyes on the fishy options in the tempura menu, there is a lot of vegan ones : onions, potatoes, squash, aubergine. If you love Udon noodles, don't hesitate and go for it
