Sundae Recipe

I remember the first time she tried ice cream as a baby, her face lit up with joy as she took her first bite. It was a messy affair, with ice cream all over her face and hands, but she was so happy that I couldn't help but smile. And now, here we are, years later, making sundaes together in the kitchen.

For our sundae recipe, we always start with a few scoops of our favorite ice cream flavors. My daughter loves chocolate, while I prefer vanilla. We make sure to let the ice cream soften a bit before scooping it into bowls, just like how my daughter used to mash up her ice cream when she was a baby, making a sticky mess all over the high chair.

Next, we gather our toppings. My daughter loves sprinkles, chocolate chips, and whipped cream. I always go for crushed nuts and a drizzle of caramel sauce. We set them all out in little bowls, just like we used to set out her baby food in little containers on the table.

As we assemble our sundaes, my daughter always gets a little too excited, piling on the toppings without a care. I gently remind her to go easy, just like I used to gently guide her hand when she was learning to eat on her own. It's these little moments in the kitchen, making sundaes together, that remind me of the joy of cooking with my daughter.
