Kadai Paneer Recipe

To begin, gather the following ingredients: paneer (cottage cheese), bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, ginger, garlic, green chilies, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves), and fresh cream.

First, sauté the paneer cubes in a hot kadai until they turn golden brown. In another pan, heat oil and add in the whole spices like coriander seeds and cumin seeds. After they start sizzling, add in the chopped onions, ginger, garlic, and green chilies.

Once the onions turn translucent, add in the chopped bell peppers and tomatoes. Let the mixture cook until the tomatoes break down and create a thick gravy. Season the mixture with red chili powder, turmeric powder, and garam masala.

Add the sautéed paneer cubes back into the kadai and stir well to coat them in the flavorful sauce. To finish off the dish, sprinkle in some crushed kasuri methi and a dollop of fresh cream for richness. Serve hot with steamed rice or naan for a complete meal that will satisfy your taste buds.
