Empanadas Recipe

Now, for this special recipe that has been passed down in our family for generations, you'll need some flour, butter, water, salt, ground beef, onions, bell peppers, olives, hard-boiled eggs, and some spices like cumin and paprika.

To start off, mix the flour, butter, water, and salt to make the dough. Knead it until it's nice and smooth, just like I used to do with your tiny little hands when you were a baby. Let it rest while you prepare the filling.

For the filling, sauté the ground beef with the onions and bell peppers until they're nice and browned. Then add in the olives, hard-boiled eggs, and spices. Let it cool before you assemble the empanadas.

Roll out the dough and cut it into circles. Spoon some of the filling onto one half of each circle, then fold the dough over and crimp the edges with a fork. Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.

Finally, bake the empanadas in the oven until they're crispy and golden brown. And there you have it, a delicious batch of empanadas that will surely make my daughter happy. I may complain about having to cook, but deep down, I love seeing her enjoy the food I make for her.
