Tempura Recipe
First, mix together flour and cornstarch in a bowl, then gradually add cold water until you have a smooth batter. Beat an egg in a separate bowl and then fold it into the batter, just like my grandparents used to do when I was a kid.
Next, heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Dip your choice of vegetables or seafood into the batter, ensuring they are evenly coated. Carefully place them in the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy. Remember not to overcrowd the fryer, just like my grandparents taught me, to avoid making the tempura soggy.
Once the tempura is cooked to perfection, remove them from the oil and drain on a paper towel to remove excess oil. Serve hot with a dipping sauce made from soy sauce, rice vinegar, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds. This recipe is a favorite in my family and always brings back memories of the love and care my grandparents put into their cooking. Enjoy making this dish with your loved ones and create your own special memories!.
