You can use a large onion instead of... read more I've cooked the recipe twice in the past week. Very tasty! Took chicken instead of lamb as I didn't have any lamb at home. You can use a large onion instead of a medium-sized one. Instead of milk, I recommend coconut milk. That makes the dish a little tastier. My girlfriend and my guests loved it. It really tastes like an Indian.

It tastes great with coconut milk, but the original recipe deliberately omitted it. I'm making another Indian recipe with the same spices - only without the tomato puree, without spinach and with coconut milk and mango chutney instead. Just try it!
