I forgot one thing, 1 or more tablespoons of rice semolina can be sprinkled over the finished Laab. You can easily make rice semolina yourself by carefully roasting raw rice grains in a pan (without fat) until golden yellow. Stir constantly, allow to cool, then pound in a mortar (grain size like coarse semolina). The rice semolina can be kept for several months in a closed glass.
Had the chance to try this salad in a Thai restaurant and was so enthusiastic that I really wanted to cook it again. However, I left out the rice semolina and it still tasted great. Will definitely give it again :-) LG vom Mampfi
Really a great recipe for warm days, nicely spicy and refreshing at the same time. Thank you very much, chica *. Unfortunately, I didn't have any mint, but that didn't detract from it. I also love Thai basil, which makes the whole thing even more interesting, even if it may not be original in terms of the recipe. Instead of chicken, I've also used beef, which is also super delicious. Best regards veniho
