Was Anonym at Beachside 66 a mag?
My husband and I grabbed fish and chips and headed to the water front. We couldn't have asked for better service and they were the best chips I've had in a long time. I ordered the grilled fish and it was cooked perfectly. Well done guys, definitely recommend. View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Beachside 66:
I've always loved their burgers; they taste great and are well made. On the other hand, their fish can be hit and miss. Sometimes it's overcooked, which leaves the batter of the fish leathery and quite dry, and other times it's well cooked. I also don't enjoy their sausage rolls and pies too much. The pastry is good, but the meat tastes a little odd. View all feedback.
Fish the chips were okay, but prawn cutlets, calamari seafood scallops disgusting. Were not fresh, straight out of a box like you buy at Coles or Woolies. The Calamari was the worst we’ve ever eaten, was mushy soggy, definitely not fresh. Would never eat here again. Worst of all, it was $80 down the drain…
We were looking for a venue to enjoy a brekkie in the sun and found Beachside 66. The hosts were very friendly, the service fantastic and the brekkie to die for! I had the vegetarian burrito filled with scrambled eggs, spinach and a beautiful tomato relish, while my partner had the 'small ' brekkie of eggs (sunnyside up), bacon grilled tomato and toast. I would hate to see what the 'Big ' brekkie was like! The latte 's were great too.
We ordered the Red Emperor, calamari, chips, and a potato scallop at Beachside 66. The meal was absolutely delicious and there was plenty for the two of us. I highly recommend this restaurant.
