What can I say about Fortune Cookie? Elite is a word that comes to mind. I don't take that word sound lightly. We're talking about exquisite take out Chinese. Take out on a level that take out isn't talked about often. The staff? Attentive, polite, intelligent. The kind of people that make society better. I don't mean to be dramatic, but calling Fortune Cookie anything other than one of the brightest lights in southern Maine would be incorrect. They are a beacon of hope in this fading town. While the local food scene flounders from it's heyday (you know what I'm talking about), the Fortune Cookie shines like a bat signal, ushering in a long awaited meal that is delicious, yet you don't have to make yourself (or drive too far). This place is limited only by its size and location, being difficult to get in and out of with little parking. The food is fantastic, and compared to other Chinese food places, well priced. They're kind, have great deals, and short waits, even ontheir busiest days.
Under new Ownership, but the food is even better! it was very good before. Fast service,clean Resturaunt. Limited seating and parking. Located next to a Gas Station. Pay attention to the current Covid Era Hours. My photo of it is current as of September16th 2022. Place is a go to for local Big Box Store Workers.Good sized portions too.
