Situated just a brief walk from the Kennet and Avon Canal at Pewsey Wharf, we are a favorite stop for boaters, cyclists, and hikers seeking a refreshing drink, delicious meal, or a relaxing cup of tea. Our doors are open 6 days a week from 12.30pm to 11pm (8pm on Sundays), offering meals daily from 12 to 2.30pm and a classic English breakfast on Sundays. Additionally, our spacious function room includes a skittle alley and is available for hire for special events such as weddings, christenings, or corporate team building days starting at the end of August. Martyn and the team eagerly await your visit to the Royal Oak on your next journey through the area.
The Royal Oak Pub has recently undergone a transformation, emerging from a period of closure with a renewed charm. While some reviews note lingering issues such as limited drink options and inconsistent food quality, others celebrate the pub's warm atmosphere and friendly service. Patrons have enjoyed hearty meals, from exceptional breakfasts to satisfying roasts and freshly cooked fish and chips, all complemented by a cozy ambiance featuring roaring log fires. Under the stewardship of new owner Martyn, the pub is carving a place as a welcoming community hub, inviting visitors to return for future gatherings.
