**Rising Star in Wilmington: A Breakfast Haven** Jester’s Café has quickly become a favorite spot for breakfast and lunch, offering an impressive menu that boasts delightful dishes such as the black bean Benedict and blueberry French toast casserole. Patrons rave about the friendly, attentive service and the charming atmosphere of the historic house. While some diners notice a lingering odor from the open kitchen, the delectable cuisine—featuring fresh ingredients and perfectly seasoned dishes—easily overshadows this minor drawback. With a commitment to sustainability and flavorful offerings, Jester's is a must-visit gem that promises to create lasting culinary memories in Wilmington.
Our waiter, who seemed to be managing everything on his own, was impressively attentive to all the guests. I also enjoyed the distinctive artwork, and one of the highlights for me was the funky jazz music playing softly in the background as we dined. I ordered the French dip sandwich, and it was incredible! The jus was delicious, and the bread was delightful. I also had the black-eyed pea salad as a side, which completely amazed me; I need to get that recipe! My girlfriend chose the quiche, one of her favorite dishes, and she really enjoyed it. I appreciated that there were both veggie and meat options for the quiche—a nice touch! The crust was perfectly buttery and crumbly without being too thick. She also had a side of broccoli cheddar soup that day, which we both found very comforting. After our meal, we lingered a bit longer, chatting and soaking in the atmosphere. I left feeling delighted and grateful for our experience, and I want to give a big shout-out to our waiter for his exceptional service. We will definitely be returning soon!
I really enjoy this restaurant because of the food. It’s a cozy space, though, so it’s not great for groups larger than four. Some of the seating features church pews with pillows, giving it a very homey feel. The service can be somewhat brusque—I'm not sure if it's due to patrons lingering and causing slower table turnover or if it’s just a bit of an attitude issue.
Such a cozy lovely place! And food is always amazing! The quiche and eggs benedict are a must try!!
Went here last Saturday for the first time. The restaurant is a nice relaxed place. Breakfast was good, service was good.
