What رامبُد مهاجرانی dislikes about Ludwig Adele:
We ate dinner here before a concert at the Musikverein. The location is great since t is right around the corner. It is a very casual restaurant which appeared to have mostly university students drinking. The food and wine were good. View all feedback.
We were walking the ring road on our first day in Vienna, about half way round we needed a stop for lunch. We picked this at random because it looked welcoming and was not too busy. The staff were delightful and kind to our halting...German, their English turned out to be exemplary. The coffee was excellent and the two course menu chosen from the board was excellent. I remember coq au vin from the seventies and it was nowhere near as good as we got here. All in this is a great little restaurant for a stop, eat and relax.
LOCATION: very nice, in or outdoors. STAFF: super kind and helpful! FOOD: excellent. Tasty and particular, it surprised us for the various tastes which we felt so precisely and combined perfectly. Last but not least, homemade or organic drinks! PRICES: not super cheap, but proper...for the quality. 15€ for a alcohol-free drink and a hamburger dish.
My wife and I had a quick dinner outside prior to a show at the Musikverein (right around the corner.) We were a bit burnt out on Czech and Austrian food and beer. We had gin and tonics (the tonic is sweeter in Europe that we are used to in the States.) I ordered the risotto which was simple but very well prepared. My wife just had a cheese plate as we had had a large lunch.Service was good and efficient. Décor is very modern.
Came here twice as my hotel was nearby. Both times, it was easy to find seating. The staff was so kind, fun and relaxed. The cocktails were amazing, especially the Orange-Vermouth-Spritz (10.50€ . Great prices, too, I thought. Didn't try the food but it looked good. Highly recommend. Price per person: €10–20 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
NOT POC Tourist Friendly!!! Storytime: My friend and I were visiting as tourists when we got caught in a heavy rainstorm. With no idea where we were or where to eat, we stumbled into this restaurant completely by chance. Several tables were visibly empty, with no reservation signs in sight, so we waited by the entrance to be seated. Now, we had done our research with a local before arriving in Austria. We familiarized ourselves with restaurant etiquette, colloquial phrases, but none of it mattered here. A male server made direct eye contact with us several times and walked right past without a word, a nod, or even the basic courtesy of acknowledging we were there. We greeted the bar staff. No response. Still, we waited patiently, assuming they were just busy. No worries, we can wait. At this point we started noticing other patrons looking at us, probably confused as to why we were not being helped. Then, another walk-in arrived. A white blonde woman, also clearly caught in the storm. Within seconds of stepping in, she was warmly welcomed, handed a menu, and seated at one of the empty tables. My friend and I were baffled. We had been waiting there for over 15 minutes. At that point, we left and braved the storm once more. Mind you, it was horrible, the roads looked like rivers, but better Mother Nature than Ludwig Adele. Service: 1
