Weinheim market place is undoubtedly one of the nicest places to spend some time on in the areas in the summer. Unfortunately not all of the restaurants/bars/cafes on the location live up to that standard. The food was mediocre at best and the prices high...class. Overall good for having a drink but not for grabbing a bite. View all feedback.
We were looking for a german restaurant and Diebsloch was the closest. Its location is top, just like any café and restaurant at Marktplatz. The deck outside was full, but we got a nice table for inside, staff was friendly through and through. We...were satisfied with our Schweinelendenspieß (served w champignon, bratkartoffel and sauce), Schnitzeljagd (Schnitzel in Kinderportion without schnitzel soße, and pommes) and Diebesgut (also has pommes, with probably fried chicken?!? Wasn't my dish not so sure). I asked for extra sauce for my pommes, no problem. Sauce came after Food and service, all in all, great. The only thing that bugs me was my pfälzer Grauburgunder (can't remember the brand name, but they have only options for grauburgunder and only one of them is from Pfalz). Not my thing. Maybe someone else would adore it to death, but to me, it's bad. I had grauburgunder from other pfälzer brands and liked them all, but not this one. Conclusion: would definitely come back, and for sure will take another wine.
Weinheim is one of my favorite places to visit when we are in the area. Its not as touristy as Heidelberg but you can get there with the tram from..
