Mimo Thai on Spruce Street is a cozy, student‑friendly spot known for bold curries and standout Pad Thai, generous portions, daily specials and affordable prices. Friendly staff and a rich Thai iced tea enhance the experience, but limited seating and street parking can complicate visits. Expect inconsistent hours, spotty phone availability and a finicky online ordering/pickup system that has missed substitutions and payments; occasional dishes vary in quality. Worth calling ahead, but overall a flavorful, budget‑friendly neighborhood destination.
This was our first visit, and we had a wonderful experience with the staff; they were attentive and friendly. The service was outstanding, which we truly appreciated. The mango salad was fantastic, featuring real mango, unlike other places we've tried. The beef fried rice was decent, though I thought it could have used a little more salt; however, the beef was tender and flavorful. We ordered the Panang curry with chicken, and the chicken was both tender and delicious, while the vegetables were cooked perfectly. Again, I felt it could have used a bit more salt, but the overall flavor of the curry was wonderful. Overall, we received exceptional service.
Mimo Thai is a charming little local restaurant that offers incredibly delicious Thai food. It's a cozy spot with limited seating, but the atmosphere is delightful. They have daily specials (check out the picture in the review), and the food is outstanding. I highly recommend the Pad Kee Mao and the Red Thai Curry, especially with a side of spicy chili oil. The staff is very polite and friendly. While parking can be a bit limited, you can usually find street parking without too much trouble. The prices are very reasonable, and the portion sizes are generous. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking to indulge your taste buds with some fantastic Thai cuisine.
The staff was incredibly friendly, and the food and atmosphere were fantastic. I ordered the Vegetarian Thai Green Curry (spicy), and the red chili added a wonderful kick to the already delicious curry flavor. Another member of our group had the Red Curry Chicken, which was perfectly shredded and well-marinated with great flavor. We also tried the Pad See Ew with tofu, and it was excellent. I highly recommend this place!
Extremely nice staff , great food and atmosphere. Ordered Vegeterian Thai Green Curry Spicy) the red Chilli inside and the curry flavor is great. Others ordered Red Curry Chicken feed back is nicely thin shredded pieces) well marinated with goodtaste. Another Pad Sew with Tofu which is very good. Recommended place definitely.
First time coming and we had a great experience with the staff they were very intentive and friendly. It was incredible service and we really enjoyed that. Now the mango salad was amazing for the fact it actually had mango not like other places, the beeffried rice was decent but I felt it was missing salt but the beef was tender and good. Now for the panang curry we got itchicken and the chicken was tender and delicious and the vegetables were perfectly cooked in the curry, the only thing I feltagain was the salt was missing but the base flavour of the curry was delicious and we did get exceptional service.
