I've visited this restaurant five times—three times with my husband and twice on my own for happy hour. The food is excellent! We recently adopted a vegan lifestyle, and I'm thrilled to find that 80% of the menu is vegan. View all feedback.
I had a truly delightful experience at the restaurant. The staff were all incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the lamb chops and the classic mantoo, which are both must-tries. Since I visited for my birthday, I was pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary dessert.
The Afghan food here is absolutely delicious! I really appreciated the ambiance created by the real candles and flowers, along with the beautiful decor. They also have an impressive cocktail menu. We tried the eggplant and mushroom vegetarian dishes, the restaurant’s signature chicken dish, shrimp dumplings, a gram batter appetizer, and ended our meal with Afghan vanilla ice cream topped with rose water and pistachios. Everything was fantastic!
I've been eager to try Lapis ever since it switched from serving French cuisine to Afghan cuisine.
Delicious food and attentive service! I visited Lapis for dinner with colleagues visiting from out of town, and the setting was perfect for a work gathering. The five of us sat outside, enjoying plenty of space and two heaters that kept us warm on a chilly early-November evening. We shared several dishes “family style,” which was a wonderful way to sample a variety of menu items. Our choices included veggie dumplings, shrimp dumplings, eggplant, carrots with dates, and several lamb dishes. The lamb was cooked to perfection—so tender it could be cut with a spoon. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I look forward to returning in the future.
