If they're in wanaka, they'll have to eat here! we have believed here on travel and asked about vegan options, just to find out all daily specialties were vegan! we have a veganized buddha box (with vegan naan! and it was a few of the best Indians I've ever had! the next day left because we couldn't get enough.
We were originally planning to visit another food truck in the area, but ended up choosing Buddha's Corner instead because it offered more attractive vegan options. The staff were very friendly and helpful in pointing out which items on the menu were vegan. We were pleasantly surprised to find a variety of vegan choices, including both of the daily specials. The food we tried was delicious and we would certainly return. One improvement suggestion would be to clearly label which menu items are vegan.

I was quite disappointed with the meal I had at the Spice Room. Despite being a good restaurant, the dish I ordered was simply microwaved for 2 minutes and was very average.
After reading a previous review, I decided to try the vegan Buddha Box at this restaurant. The staff was willing to accommodate my request and the dish was delicious. The portions were generous and the spices were excellent. The naan bread on the side was a nice addition. We also tried a noodle dish which was tasty, with fresh and crispy vegetables and flavorful seasonings. The only suggestion I have is for the restaurant to promote their vegan options more, as they are not immediately obvious on the menu, but definitely worth trying.
