Le Grenier Restaurant, located in NE Washington, was known for its wide range of authentic French cuisine. The cozy environment and vintage décor added to the welcoming atmosphere. The chef, Thierry Sanchez, created traditional French dishes as well as other European favorites. Guests could enjoy a variety of beers and wines at the full range bar, including Kir Normand, Ricard, Sparkling Brut, Sparkling Rose, and champagne. One popular dish was the Pain Perdu, a sweet entrée of custard crispy toast with fresh fruit. Another highlight was the Chef's special Steak du Chef, made with grilled Angus beef and topped with vinaigrette maison. Unfortunately, Le Grenier is now permanently closed.
