We had a diners club for 2 people - appetizer, grill plate and dessert at the price for one. our expectations were not very big, but. we were totally surprised. extremely friendly, attentive and fast operation. suppe was ok, the grill plate was huge ( 2 wr. carving, 2 spares, chicken flint, rice, bratkartoffel, 2 sossen, tomate with wobble. sooo good and soft. each 2 palate hams with marillenmarmelade or Chocolate/nut, freshly prepared also of the best quality.Cum was almost a beer glass, came a service power and asked for a beer, or even if everything fits again. We were totally enthusiastic and happy to come back.Never a plus point: there was an approx. 10 man group already adored, dressed with almost naked upper bodies, only parts i.e. T-shirt-feetzen. were rejected. ethic and beautiful views were offered to us :-)
The restaurant offers a rich selection of various dresses in a very good price performance ratio. the staff is extremely polite and fast.
At 20:30 last we had to eat where we got the answer from the waiter "the cook is already gone".
While touring the Prater amusement area, we specifically sought out Gosser Eck based on great reviews, but regrettably, we received poor service, and only mediocre food. Arriving for lunch in early afternoon, we ordered soft drinks (the raspberry iced tea was good), fried fish and...Chicken Cordon Bleu (clarified twice with the waitress). The drinks arrived, soon followed by the fish; the Cordon Bleu never came. I'm willing to forgive the waitress for her forgetfulness, given that she had a hacking cough and sneeze (leaving the contents of each on her sleeve), and controlled it with short mugs of beer and chain smoking I'm almost afraid I would have contracted an illness had I eaten. The only other person we saw working left shortly after our arrival, despite a rather busy outside seating area. The dogs inside did keep us entertained.
My wife and I found this little restaurant in the Prater area while looking for something else. We did not have high expectations based on the location and the fact that there was only one person working there. The waiter/bartender/host did an outstanding job handling...the entire restaurant and we were very pleased with our beef soup. One of the best beef broth soups we've had. The beer was cold, fries were hit and crispy, and the prices were good. If you're in the area and looking for a quick bit to eat, we recommend this place.
