Very disappointed on various points. personal, service, dishes, we command aperitifs (which means that ns would like to taste them ...) hardly served aperitives, the waiter serves us the entries!Happyly they have cold ...... ouf, ns have been able to taste our aperitives. For menus: 2 entries (molecules of the garden or melon!!!); Merlu back or fermière pintade.Price: 39 Euros. The service was deplorable, no smiles, no hello (except a waiter). However, there is a world for service. For bread, don't be pressed. What about the wine served (good my faith), I had to call back the server, because I would have had it at dessert. It would be wise to clean the reception desk because gold or copper requires to be rubbed from time to time ... and to fill the soap dispenser.Mr ducasse spends time checking his/her restaurant
Thanks to works on RER line C I arrived at Versailles about an hour later than I'd planned to and I missed the guided tour I'd bought a ticket for to avoid the long lines to get into the palace. Since I had skipped breakfast to get there early I was hungry and I decided to try Ore. The hostess downstairs was very friendly and promptly pointed me to the elevator. When I arrived upstairs in the restaurant I was show to a table with a nice view of the courtyard. I had the "Le Lever Du Roi" breakfast, which at 20€ was good value. It consisted of a basket of three pastries, a toasted baguette, butter, jam, honey, sausage, a fried tomato and two fried eggs. It also included a glass of juice and a coffee of choice. The food was of good quality and the eggs were cooked to perfection. Service was ok, but nothing special. I felt a bit like they weren't thrilled to have a single guest, obviously a tourist (which I guess 99% of their guests are..). In retrospect it really annoys me that no one informed me of the possibility of ordering the "Le Grand Lever" breakfast that included "shortcut" access to the palace. Yes, it's listed on the menu, but not really "advertised", it's in quite small print, and I missed it. Which meant I missed getting into the palace on this visit. The regular line to get in to the palace was very long, someone told me to expect a two-hour wait in line, I decided to skip the palace and just seen the gardens and the Trianons. Although I'd pre-bought a passport ticket online before going there I would've happily paid another 20€ to avoid the long line and get inside. Lesson learned for my next visit to Versailles I guess.
Excellent refresher after a walking tour through the castle and a golf cart ride and tour around the gardens. Cuisine, champagne, wines... service all excellent. Beautifully elegant setting.
I love the place. Great ambience. We had the set lunch menu with the priority entrance and it worked great for us (no long lines to get to the palace). Lunch was delicious and included water, wine and coffee for a very reasonable amount. Would definitely recommend.
A warm and design parenthesis at the Château de Versailles. What a wonderful surprise to discover L’Ore! The time for a snack this afternoon with my 4-year-old daughter, we enjoyed a delicious hot chocolate accompanied by a delicious fine vanilla millefeuille. An idea in mind to finish the weekend, come back for a brunch or a lunch! Thanks to the hotel team for its reception. See you soon!
