How can an establishment that calls itself a bakery serve up the most god awful stale, dry, cold, lump of a chicken sandwich for $15.00? Thats what I had today. I told the waitress from the first bite it was stale. I asked for it to be warmed a bit however it came back the same. I was here in the middle of the week quite close to closing time, about an hour Before I think.
Walking into this place today, it was packed to the rafters! A hot day seems to have brought out everyone and their dog.
The grumpy baker has great sourdough and good coffee. Eggs are always cooked well and they do a great shakahuka. I find their avocado sloppy which is such as shame. They get busy so be prepared to wait especially on the weekend. Coffee is good too.
This is a great spot for breakfast with excellent coffee and tasty pastries. The seating may be a bit cozy, but there's enough space to sit back and enjoy a leisurely meal.
The breakfast and lunch options at this restaurant are consistently good, and there is ample parking available in the area, which is a bonus. While we tried the dinner once, and the food was average, the service fell short. It could have just been an off night.
