My wife and I had dinner here, it was delicious. We both choose the salmon that was excellent, a lot of food very well cooked. We had a desert cake and a local port to finish. We had a house that was perfect....The staff was great and the prices were reasonable. We recommend this restaurant very much, but come early as it is very busy.
We came here for dinner on a rainy Friday night. It didn't look promising. The place was almost empty, and when we saw the prices of the most important courses on the menu, we were a bit worried, but we were too wet to move that way... we stayed. We were very happy. First, the place that was filled with locals from 9 was packed when we were gone. Then the prices on the menu- are not afraid. The appetizers and desserts are typical very low, large values Portuguese prices. The most important price prices on the menu look very high, but as we have recognized, they are really intended for 2 people to share, so in fact they are very reasonable. The food itself is excellent - the food seems to be cooked on a wood fired grill, we think as it has a very pronounced taste and is delicious. Especially the chicken was really delicious. The "Bef of the House" was a large part of steak, with ham, cheese and egg, for 12.50- with very nice chips. Excellent. The host poured some very generous glasses of wine, and overall we had a nice pleasant meal - highly recommended.
Must meet friends for lunch. It is obvious that they are popular, people will wait. So affordable and so fresh. Fast service! Absolutely come back!

The main course prices on the menu look very high- but as we realised they are really meant for 2 people, for sharing, so in fact they are very reasonable. The food itself is excellent- the food seems to be cooked on a wood fired grill we think as it has a very distinctive flavour and is delicious. The chicken in particular was really tasty. The “beef of the house” was a large portion of steak, topped with ham, cheese and egg, for 12.50- accompanied by very nice chips. Excellent. The host poured us some very generous sized glasses of wine, and overall we had a lovely enjoyable meal- highly recommended.
Food was great, but beware they get quite crowded during lunch hour, from about 12:30 pm 2:30 pm, and many people left due to the long wait (remember, this is Europe, people take their time over their meals). Was seated at a dirty...table, waited 20 minutes for the table to be cleared and for menus. But once we got past that, the food was good, nice wines as well.
