Tried for the first time tonight. Incredible. The Detroit style is like a lasagna and a pizza had a love child. Tried the garlic sticks and they were amazing. Will definitely eat here again, probably my favorite pizza in town now. View all feedback.
What Ruth A dislikes about Mattyq’s:
I found the Grilled Chicken and Bacon Sub to be very dry, and the bacon resembled bacon bits rather than actual strips, plus the cheese wasn’t melted. The Philly Cheesesteak was also extremely dry and lacked flavor. The Texas Tenderloin was difficult to eat because it was so tough. On the other hand, the Deep Fried Pickles were amazing. First time here and won’t be the last! This is a fabulous small business. My pizza was hot and so good. Better than every chain.
First time customer and won’t be the last time. There is no reason why this pizza shop shouldn’t be open for a very long time. Pizza surpassed expectations. It’s the best pizza in Troy. Pizza took a little longer then what they said it would, but not by much.

As always, the food was delicious! I tried the loaded Fire Bird fries, and they were fantastic. The Texas Tenderloin sandwich is the best I've ever had!
