Had an evening banquet meal with work colleagues and was suitably surprised with the energy of the waiting staff and the ambiance. The meal was also of a good quality and was also quite generous. View all feedback.

We've dined here several times, and each time the food is fabulous, but the service really lets it down. This time, our waitress couldn't answer basic questions about the menu. She bought out our entrees but there was no utensils, and we had to flag down someone else. Our mains were put on the table while we were still eating our entrees, which was irritating. Recently a friend & I decided to go to the A Red Dot Japanese Restaurant.It was a Thursday night and the place was quite busy.Nice friendly young guy was our waiter and looked after us well, very happy to explain the different items on the menu .Service was great and it was not long after ordering that our selected dishes arrived.We were happy to share and all was scrumptious , loved the deep fried marinated salmon.The Shoga Yaki was also delicious and really enjoyed the chips with Miso Aioli.We enjoyed the experience and were the last to leave, very tasty and fresh food, good Japanese fare.In a town with an abundance of places to eat this is definitely one to try .
Japanese food has never really interested me be but Red Dot restaurant certainly got my taste buds going . I will definitely be back . We shared several entrees and mains and all were fresh and flavoursome with great friendly service and value . I will definitely take and recommend Red Dot to friends and colleges .
Great food, I have only tried here once but definitely planning to go back I absolutely love the service I was unsure on what to order the staff were friendly and helpful and I felt happy with what I chose. The meals came out quickly and were delicious we had dessert too.
The restaurant is in a fantastic location in a beautiful town with exceptional staff and hospitality. We decided to order the banquet dinner from the menu, which was $50 per person for our party of four. The variety of food in the banquet was incredible, with the chef selecting each delicious item. We can't wait to visit again and highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.
We have dined at this restaurant twice and both times the food was excellent. Our favorite dish, the octopus balls (tako yaki), was perfectly cooked and the best we have had at any Japanese restaurant. It was a delightful discovery in a small town like Traralgon.
