Feedback
Vaticano restaurant in Yorkville offers a mix of experiences for diners. Some customers had minor complaints about the quality of certain dishes, while others raved about the delicious food, excellent service, and charming atmosphere. The menu is comprehensive but perhaps lacking some modern flair, yet the traditional Italian cuisine seems to please most patrons. The ambiance is inviting, and the staff goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. Overall, Vaticano seems to be a reliable choice for those seeking classic Italian fare in a cozy setting.
I haven't been here in almost three years (only because I don't live in the country) and it hasn't changed one bit. And I say that as a good thing. The service is efficient and friendly, the food is lovely, and so is the ambiance. Put all that in a Yorkville setting and you can hardly go wrong!
I liked the atmosphere. I gave them 3 stars for service. It was very good but according to my son his pizza he said tasted like processed cheese. My dish pasta dish and caeser salad lacked flavour and later something made me extremely ill the rest of the night.
Amazing food! Great service! Expensive but well worth it..would definitely return. Very romantic ambience!
I was with my wife and her friend - seeking a substantial lunch experience and both ladies are Italian and are quite judgemental of restaurant served pastas. Vaticano did not disappoint. The quality pasta was served by Roshan who has a great casual professionalism...he had us all chatting and laughing. The surprise was the breaded calamari - very light batter even though it is fried - a decadent appetizer worth trying. Most places over cook or don't use the freshest oils...this place does it right. The atmosphere is also quiet and controlled...so it is a good venue for business discussions and private conversation.
We toured the Yorkville area of Toronto and ended up at Vaticano for lunch. It was late afternoon during the week so the place was pretty much empty, but we enjoyed the setting and atmosphere nonetheless. The home made pasta and minestrone were wonderful. As was the Caesar salad. Nice wines. Check out all the photographs of celebrities that have visited. Great food and would recommend.
