Feedback
Vaticano restaurant in Yorkville offers a mix of experiences for diners. Some customers had minor complaints about the quality of certain dishes, while others raved about the delicious food, excellent service, and charming atmosphere. The menu is comprehensive but perhaps lacking some modern flair, yet the traditional Italian cuisine seems to please most patrons. The ambiance is inviting, and the staff goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. Overall, Vaticano seems to be a reliable choice for those seeking classic Italian fare in a cozy setting.
I haven't been here in almost three years (only because I don't live in the country) and it hasn't changed one bit. And I say that as a good thing. The service is efficient and friendly, the food is lovely, and so is the ambiance. Put all that in a Yorkville setting and you can hardly go wrong!
I liked the atmosphere. I gave them 3 stars for service. It was very good but according to my son his pizza he said tasted like processed cheese. My dish pasta dish and caeser salad lacked flavour and later something made me extremely ill the rest of the night.
Amazing food! Great service! Expensive but well worth it..would definitely return. Very romantic ambience!
Ordered: calamari, PAPPARDELLE, and Osadella risotto Had a fantastic dinner at Vaticano in Toronto! We ordered the calamari, PAPPARDELLE, and the Osadella risotto — each dish was a standout. The calamari was perfectly crispy and not greasy at all, with just the right seasoning. The PAPPARDELLE was rich, silky, and cooked al dente — you could tell the pasta was fresh. The Osadella risotto was creamy, flavorful, and comforting, with a depth of flavor that really impressed me. Service was warm and attentive without being overbearing, and the ambiance felt cozy yet upscale. A great spot for a relaxed, high-quality Italian meal. Will definitely be coming back! Disappointed! Had high hopes for this Cute Italian restaurant in the heart of Yorkville . located at 25 Bel Air. Ambiance and atmosphere was nice, would’ve been a little bit better if we didn’t hear one of the chefs hammering away tenderizing chicken or some type of meat lol. I had a whiskey sour which was delicious. My husband had a red cab, which was also very nice. Appetizer: I ordered the arugula pear salad, which to my dismay was a little bit bland for what it was, overpowered by parmesan cheese had no taste , also about 3 half thin slices of pear, I’ve had way better and at the price point of the salad, I expected a little bit more. My husband had the bocconcini with tomato, which was also average, didn’t have that punch of flavour you would expect. Main course: my husband had the summerlicious menu. He ordered the veal in lemon sauce. He said the sauce, overpowered the veal, and it was very average. We had to return it because it came cold. They did reheat it. My dish was not the special, I had the eggplant Parmesan, Eggplant was very soft. Didn’t expect to be about only three slices of egg plant. It was ok in taste , Very small portions if you expect larger portions then do not come to this restaurant. Desert: we ordered the tiramisu now that was 10/10 exceptional. It was one of the best I ever had very fresh and you could tell it was homemade.. Overall The best part of our meal was the dessert!!!
