I come here for the Hong Kong milk tea, which remains one of the best in the city after all these years. However, the prices have skyrocketed, so I don't buy the 2-liter option as often as I used to. My husband ordered a lemon tea in Chinese, but he was served the wrong drink. Instead of simply correcting the mistake, the woman became argumentative, insisting that he had asked for milk tea. In my opinion, this is definitely one of the best Hong Kong-style milk tea spots in the Greater Toronto Area! I ordered the combo this time, which included satay beef noodles, an egg sandwich, and iced Hong Kong milk tea, and it lived up to my expectations. While the service isn't the fastest around, the meals come out quickly, so I can't really complain. Just keep in mind that this place gets quite busy in the morning, so seating can fill up rapidly.
I've visited this restaurant a few times, and the staff can be inconsistent in their service. There are a few tables for dining, but it's not really suitable for large groups. I tried the chicken club sandwich, and it was delicious! I would have liked a bit more chicken in it, but overall it was very tasty and a nice twist on traditional club sandwiches. The HK-style milk tea is among the best I’ve ever had. However, I also ordered a 1L bottle of milk tea, and it turned out to be way too sweet.
I stopped by for breakfast and the place wasn't particularly appealing, but I've enjoyed great food in less-than-impressive spots before. I ordered the big breakfast and requested my eggs to be cooked over medium, but they came out over easy instead. The sausage was essentially a hot dog, the bacon was cold, and the ham was only warm underneath the eggs. The cutlery was stored in a little box with a window, which I assume was some kind of disinfecting machine. The table had what looked like drywall dust on it. The fries were decent, and at least the eggs were hot. I’m giving it 3 stars mainly because the staff were friendly.
This place is a go-to for Hong Kong-style food! They serve delicious dishes and excellent milk tea. However, the prices are a bit on the high side.
