In a recent dining experience, patrons expressed their discontent with a restaurant that failed to live up to expectations. Housed within a hotel lobby, the ambiance was uninspiring, and the high prices did not correspond to the quality of the food, which felt reheated and lacked variety. Despite the shining service from the attentive server, the meal itself was a letdown, resembling offerings from a modest corner Indian eatery rather than reflecting the prestigious standards of chef Vikram’s renowned Vancouver establishment. Overall, diners found the experience underwhelming and not worth the significant price.

What Paul Keebler dislikes about Bend It With Vikram Pop Up!:
I've been to Vij's restaurant in Vancouver several times and often cook from his books, so I was a bit disappointed with this pop-up format. The food was decent, but the standout dish was definitely the Lamb Pikels; the rest of the dishes were just okay. Unfortunately, the service and the location felt pretty average (is it really just a hotel restaurant?). I probably wouldn't return for the food or anything else. View all feedback.
Unfortunately it did not meet our expectations, it was expensive for what it was. the food was good, but there was no choice and there was not enough sort. the lobby of the hotel was missing from a slot machine. it was a kind of expected vikram to be there, he was not! our server, tatiana, was the redeeming factor. she was attentive and friendly (not easy to find in toronto)!
I thought we were sitting in the lobby of a hotel. the food was reheated and similar to the corner Indian restaurant. In view of the call of vikram, we expected a meal worthy of his vancouver restaurant and we were completely abandoned to a very expensive wise.
Do not wash their time or money! it was one of the worst culinary experiences and we felt completely demolished. total not worth the $95 no show, smallest portioning and reheated food. I do not write any negative reviews unless I feel that it is necessary for the property to hear the feedback. we're gonna blow up a lot! we travel a lot. that is not a special event for us to dinate. this was honest with one of the biggest we have experienced in years! we took customers to dinner and were thrilled to 1, enjoy a delicious meal of vikram. I myself was from vancouver, I spoke very much about his restaurant and eat before dinner. our portions were small, the curry and the lamb tasted as if it had been reheated. second we read the recording on the website and look forward to the show and experience. when we arrived for our 8pm reso, we were one of 3 tables in the restaurant. the other 2 guests were not on this special set menu. So we were the only ones sitting there for the 8pm. When we arrived, we thought we were at the wrong place because it is literally a restaurant that opens up into the lobby of the hotel. our “sustainability” observed large groups of hotel guests who enter and exit. Once we set ourselves, we asked about the performance and our server tells us. oh, everyone came around 6. it was a “whole show”. So what about the 8pm seats? No, they're the only ones here. So no one thought we would contact us and let us know that the second bench was a gloomy and say that we would not have snow or additional experiences.! this was part of the $95/person experience wasn't it?! the service was not failed. when we asked about the menu, our server told us: "It's all they see before them" wow! okay, you really want to be here. we had to ask for new cutlery when they cleared it away from the previous cursor. during our main course, they have set up to the breakfast around us.

Unfortunately, the restaurant didn't live up to our expectations considering the high prices. While the food was good, there was a lack of options and variety. Additionally, the hotel's lobby felt incomplete without a slot machine, which we were somehow expecting to see. However, our server, Tatiana, was a highlight of the experience. She was attentive and friendly, which is often hard to find in Toronto!
