We are a family-run, child and dog-friendly country pub that offers a selection of real ales, lagers, ciders, bottled ciders, soft drinks, and alcohol-free lager. Our food, although not award-winning, is of good quality, generous portion sizes, freshly cooked, and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and cozy, complete with an open fire that we light on cold, miserable days. We are open every day from 12 noon, closing around 10pm on weekdays and 11pm on weekends. We serve food on Sundays and Mondays from 12pm to 3pm only; every other day, it's from 12pm to 2pm and 6pm to 8.30pm. We look forward to welcoming you soon.

Went to the Star for lunch today, 19th and had a very nice afternoon. We've been coming over here three to four times a year for several years and the pub has improved. Food is very good, service is excellent and prices are fine. We enjoyed the Butty Bach real ale. Adam, the manager, is very friendly, helpful and knows his stuff. View all feedback.

Late arrivals, the friendly staff allowed us to order. I only wanted a snack so I had a ploughman's. It was awful! Why o why when we have such amazing bread in Wales do pubs insist on serving frozen undercooked plastic baguette. Ham and cheese were good.
