I hear earlier is better if you want a wider selection. Indeed, I came at 9 on a Thursday and left with a big bag of a huge variety of breads and pastries. Good place to visit if you're in the area. We tried 4 different savoury things and found all 4 to be a little lacking. They were definitely not bad, just not amazing. We felt the price for the baked goods was good, the price of drinks was expensive (but fairly comparable to other places in Japan).
