This railway station is located in the middle of Kerala. So most of the trains pass through mangalore, Palakkad and Trivandrum. But not bus directly to any major cities from this location. This adversely affected passengers when the train terminated its journey at this station. Some times Evening Alappuzha Kannur express terminated journey in this station at 7:12.
