I heard that the restaurant will be closing at the end of March, so I was lucky to be able to visit during my trip to Shikoku on March 24th and 25th. It's a memorable roadside station that I always stop by during my annual trips to Shikoku. It will be turned into a campsite after closing. View all feedback.
There are old and small shops lined up, but the restroom facilities are comfortable. There is a square, a seaside promenade, and the cultural property "Tomariya," which is a memorable place for our family as we have visited multiple times with our own bento boxes. It is said that the shops will be demolished and rebuilt soon. Although the shops are small, I have heard that each one has good reviews. Among them, I have only been to the shop facing the sea 4-5 times, but it suits my taste. Sometimes, a soft voice asking, "Would you like some coffee?" while looking at the products. I appreciate their approach of not being too pushy or neglectful, making me feel comfortable when I reenter the store. Despite the changes in the appearance of the stores due to rebuilding, I hope they will maintain the current store and continue with the same concept. Note: I went there recently as well. I wonder if this store will continue in the new location, with its unique atmosphere and wooden flooring. People cannot remain the same forever. Yet, there are many things we wish could stay the same, right?

The roadside station closed at the end of March 2022, and all the shops on the premises have also closed. As of April 2022, the large parking lot that can accommodate large vehicles, clean separate restrooms for men and women, and a spacious green area facing the sea are still accessible. Vending machines are also in operation. It is a roadside station where you can enjoy handmade bento boxes while looking out at the tranquil sea of Sukumo. On calm and warm days, it might be nice to have a meal at the open-air seats, park benches, and tables inside the park. If you're lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of the "daruma sunset."
