For a pub that's owned by the k club and steeped in history, it's pretty dour. The lounge is slightly better that the bar but not by much. I remember this place when it was with the previous owner. There were old school tables as bar tables. It's only slightly better since then. They have done since work in the courtyard and given the outside a lick of pain. As a pub owned by the K Club and rich in history, it unfortunately feels rather dreary. The lounge is a bit better than the bar, but not by much. I remember how this place used to be under its previous ownership, with old-school tables serving as bar tables, and it’s only improved slightly since then. This charming old Irish pub serves a fantastic pint of Guinness and delicious Irish stew. I absolutely adore this place!
Guinness, Guinness, and even more Guinness, along with a few sambuca shots in between. Not great for my golf handicap...
The food is fantastic, and the beer garden is lovely. It's not just a spot for smokers. I really hope the KClub doesn't alter the interior too much, as there are so few authentic pubs left.
