Ever eager to avoid chores I agreed and she took me to Ghiaccios which is in Harton Village on one of the main roads into South Shields. Although small inside and out it is immaculate. Was given a voucher for Ghiaccio as a gift, and took a friend as a 'treat '. I was mortified! The produce served up almost certainly came from a nearby cheap frozen food shop there was certainly nothing that was home baked or luxurious.
