A visit to the restaurant left a lot to be desired, with overpriced frozen food and slow service. Some dishes lacked prawns and dressing, while desserts were underwhelming. Another disappointment was the reuse of sauce pots. Despite polite staff, the overall experience was marred by high prices and lackluster food quality. On the positive side, the carvery had good food, but portions were small for the price. The presence of a cat in the restaurant was off-putting. Despite these mixed reviews, some guests enjoyed the steak, desserts, and friendly service, making their visit worthwhile.
What Ash Lovejoy likes about The Black Swan:
Great selection of beers/Ales. Had lunch outside in the garden, fairly priced, tasted great and had good service. Staff were friendly and loved our dogs. Will visit again soon View all feedback.
What martinballhome doesn't like about The Black Swan:
Visited this restaurant for lunch on a Thursday and was pleased with their selection of real ales, particularly enjoyed the Nethergate Venture. The baguette I had was delicious and great value for money. The pub had a lovely, bright atmosphere and I will definitely be coming back again. View all feedback.
