Our families favourite chippy : I have to say I was quite surprised yo find out they now take card we did a huge detour to find a cash machine, but found out they'd been taking cards for 2 years View all feedback.

This was the best chippy around up until a year ago? We were regulars but not now, since receiving horrible, hard, stale chips on a number of occasions. This spoilt our meal many times having spent over £30 a time that’s just not fair. Why sell stale chips risk your reputation for a few pennies cost is just one maybe two potatoes per person? Moderate quality, Poor treatment and miserable attitude First of all I must say that the young lady at the counter is very uncomfortable and unfriendly so I felt very inconvenient and it was like a fight, so I am her enemy. The quality doesn’t match the price. Don’t ruin your day with this fish and chips shop.
These used to be great but they are terrible now. Used to visit regularly but the last three fish and chip suppers have been terrible. Thick batter. Overcooked fish and leathery bits of chips. Very expensive of course now too which makes it even more disappointing. I keep giving them another chance hoping they would improve but they just get worse.
Go here frequently. Lovely decore, atmosphere service, carpark and best fish and chips I've ever had.
Tried it again after 3yrs,but not improved batter soggy, chips were dry,will not be going again terrible.
