The public is not permitted in the buildings, so think of this as a park. The shoreline is extremely worthwhile. On weekdays except holidays, from 11:30 till 1:30, you can walk through a guarded gate to NOAA land from Magnuson Park's neighboring offleash area. (You will be asked for ID at this gate, presumably because it's federal land. During business hours, NOAA is a lengthy but pleasant bus ride from downtown. View all feedback.
This is a public cafeteria on NOAA's Campus in Sand PointYou will need government ID to access it, but overall it has reasonable prices.
EVERYONE in car must have government issued ID (driver's license) or they won't let you in!!!! I'll rate it next time if they let us in.

Always kind and courteous. As I wander around there, I meet some employees. I am 71 yrs old. I am so amazed at what they are working on. I live up the hill, I wish they would brief us on what they are doing there. Plus what a resource for our kids. 'A prophet is without honor in his own land or neighborhood . Jake
