Absolutely underground. In the Spargel period we were presented with Can-Saving Gel. The potatoes were also from the glass. The wines of the Romanian meat rolls were all the same. Probably finished industrial goods. It was okay with the Pommes and the drinks. If you are not hungry, you should avoid eating here.
Unfortunately, my wife and I had the bad luck in the Sandplacken restaurant today. From the parking lot it went through a kind of back entrance past the toilets to the counter area. Then we had the choice between totally smoked (both the smoker room) and two other rooms with large panoama windows but a facility that came a bit lazy. Our waiter came, we ordered drinks that came immediately. Now for dinner. The appetizer was a breaded cheese, which, however, had lost hopefully in the refrigerator for a while after panting and frying. But he was edible. What we could not claim from our main course. The mixed grill plate was neatly full-optically not so great. And unfortunately the meat was not cutable or chewable.The mixed salad was a small plate with inlaid vinegar. The trout was more fried than fried, not so fresh and everything in alllem made the food a warmed up impression. The 2 waiters noticed this also at our falling eating pleasure, disappeared around the corner and laughed. So we went on the way to the counter to pay. Then, in our opinion, the boss came, gave us the bill of over 38 euros and stressed that everything is fresh. Hopefully maybe in the future. They don't see us again. We were then half an hour later at the Restaurant Zum Feldbergblick in Hunoldstal. All tasty, fresh and the hunter's master was also a good idea for digesting the horrors of the sands.
I had a truly wonderful experience at Restaurant Sandplacken. It was a culinary journey through Romania that was simply delicious. And the hospitality was second to none; even more so when my car wouldn't start in the parking lot, the owner helped me within minutes. Thank you so much for everything! I'll definitely be back!
A small Transylvanian enclave nestled in the Taunus Mountains. Hospitality is truly lived here. It's like a mini-vacation. The food is hearty and delicious. The sauerkraut rolls are always my favorite. Their own pastry shop makes amazing desserts... and the Dobos toffee is simply divine. Most of the guests are Romanian, so you feel like you're in another country, which adds to the holiday atmosphere. If you have friends from Eastern Europe, invite them here for a meal. Ours said it was the first truly good restaurant they'd ever visited in Germany. We've made many wonderful memories and left everyday life behind every time. Thank you for that.
