One of the best GF bakeries in America. So many delicious options for sweet bakery treats, warm breakfast or lunch sandwiches, breads, cakes, cookies, etc. The service is very nice. And the location in the Ferry Building is so charming.
I ordered an orange almond scone because it looked and sounded delicious. I didn't realize it was gluten-free until I saw it. The scone was moist, full of flavor, and absolutely delicious.
Wowwwww gluten free croissants??? Sign me up!! I got a croissant, ham and cheese turnover, and cinnamon roll. All were excellent, and of course gluten free. The croissant was flaky and buttery and delicious. Not the exact same consistency as a regular croissant but pretty dang close. And the flavor is top notch. The ham and cheese turnover was to die for! Sooo good. The pastry part was so buttery and amazing. The cinnamon roll was also great. No complaints. Very flavorful with plenty of cinnamon to go around. Will definitely be coming here again! Next time I’m coming early because I heard they sell the croissants by the bag as well and I want to stock up!
This bakery is fantastic! I make a special trip to San Francisco just to visit. If you're searching for genuine gluten-free pastries, this is the place to go. They have a dedicated gluten-free kitchen and their pastries really taste like the real thing. The chocolate croissants, also known as pain au chocolate, are amazing - flaky and filled with dark chocolate. They also have a new item, a brown sugar toaster pastry similar to Pop-Tarts. I wasn't a huge fan of this one though; I felt the outer dough could have been crisper and it was a little too sweet for my taste. However, it was still a good imitation. My new favorite are the Viennese tea cookies - they're incredible! They're like meltaway cookies and I can't get enough of them.
