Oscar's, advertised as a French bistro, received mixed reviews. Some diners found the menu lacking in traditional French cuisine and noted that some items were unavailable. Service was a point of contention, with one group waiting a long time for water and drinks, as well as experiencing slow food delivery. Another group, however, enjoyed a pleasant atmosphere, friendly service, and good food options. The buffet breakfast was especially praised for its variety and quality. Despite some issues with reservations and a limited menu, the restaurant was generally recommended for its tasty food and enjoyable ambiance.
Hostess seated us promptly. Breakfast choices are buffet or menu - we ordered off the menu. Healthy choices are noted on the menu and I had the avocado and poached egg on toast. The entree was delivered within 20 minutes and was served hot. The menu prices are commensurate with a Waldorf Astoria but a bit pricey for the Orlando area.
The food is great at Oscar's and we enjoy frequenting for Brunch, and recommend it to everyone! However, please note that as policy they do not accept reservations - even if you're booking through OpenTable! Seating is based on a first come, first seated basis. Be aware that they will accept an online reservation, with no intention of honoring it if seating is full.
Stuck in Mickey-land for a convention, a group of us were looking for a Sunday brunch spot. Oscar's at the Waldorf sounded like what we wanted and off we went. Although I'm not a lover of buffets, this one looked amazing, with more variety than usual, including a smoked salmon bar, prosciutto bar and honey dripping from a honeycomb! There were a lot of family's with kids, so it was a bit noisy, but that didn't really detract...everything the group of 4 tried, we loved. Only 2 things that were a little strange were that the cost of the buffet only included Mimosas, not **** Marys and there were no Eggs Benedict on the buffet??What impressed me most though was the commitment to making the customer happy. When I got to the salmon bar, it was empty, although two staff members I asked told me it would be restocked. When I mentioned it to our waiter, he came back and said they'd run out, which was disappointing. The manager came over an apologized, said they'd even sent over to the next door Hikton but they were out til Monday...not what I wanted to hear. 15 minutes later the manager appeared with a plate heaped with the best smoked salmon I've had in a long time....THAT is service.
An unassuming place that has a dark, mysterious vibe. Very chill and casual location to grab happy hour drinks and appetizers or dinner with friends and family. American fare food (burgers, ribs, shrimp risotto) with good cocktails. Brunch is great! Service could be a little better given that every time I've been it hasn't been that crowded. This place has been around forawhile and it's a solid neighborhood staple.
This place had a really great vibe. It’s cozy and a little dark but I really like their paintings. We were a pretty big group so we reserved an area for us. The waitress was very nice but maybe do to the size of our group she did end up forgetting a lotof our food and drinks. In my sons case she even brought out the wrong food order. The bottomless mimosas definitely need a bitof help. They tried to charge us for things that they never brought out.The food also took a long time to come out. Everyoneenjoyed their meal and the food was good there are no complaints there. Quality of the food was great.
