more of a coffee shack instead of coffee shop, but besides the lack of interior space (the greengate space more than makes for the in the case of beautiful weather), this place does some of the best quality coffee in somest and is one of the few that can make a syphon. word of warning, although the place does a small selection of cakes and ices, this is really aimed at first class coffee. Literally stumbled over this small coffee shop and was surprised by the quality of coffee and service, absolutely superb.
I've lived in the city centre of Manchester for years, and think I know it pretty well, but until I had to stay in the nearby CitySuites, I had no idea this place was here and that this is the original Grindsmith. On each...occasion, I had a green tea and cake, and both times the service and food was great. As it was hot both times, I sat outside but the seats inside looked comfy. Both times, he brought my tea/cake out to me after ordering. Highly recommend.
Always nice to know somewhere uses Oatly for their oat milk. The flat white I ordered was delicious but I was expecting some sort of latte art. It’s more than possible to have that along with good flavour.
I do not remember that it is called the pod, but in the medienstadt we had a nice coffee and cake there then went back the next day to breakfast. I had fresh orange juice and the freshly made pancakes that they should die for absolutely beautiful. my partner. had the sausage on a fresh roll with coffee. we would highly recommend this place. also the employees are so friendly and very attentive will definitely return when in media city again.
