The pub is located in an amazing area of town and is a nice size, but some reviewers found it to be overpriced for what they received. While some patrons had negative experiences with rude staff and overpriced, gluten-free options, others had a wonderful time dining at the pub. The food and drinks were delicious overall, with the service receiving high marks. The menu options were limited, especially for children, but the seafood was recommended. Despite some mixed reviews, those who enjoyed their experience praised the excellent service and quality of food.
What Jennifer Martin likes about The Ship Inn Rye:
was taken here by man for Valentine's Day surprise, and we had a wonderful evening. I have several allergies that my man had added to our booking, and it was so great that the cook made me a special dessert (that was tasty and more than just the usual fruit salad . we come back! View all feedback.
What Hortense Durand doesn't like about The Ship Inn Rye:
the reason I gave a star is that we booked a table for 3.30 and was shown on our table when we arrived. 15 minutes later, we had no menu or offer a drink etc. I felt very regrettable for the staff when they were so busy and could not keep up with the service. my advice is not to unpack the tables if they do not have to cope with the employees. not her fault View all feedback.
