Thrilled to see Armando Cinda's Mandito's open in Round Top. Was there opening night and was amazed at how smoothly everything went!! And have been back 2 more times. Always enjoyed my food!! Happy to taste some of my favorite Mexican food that I had back in the 80's at the original Armando's!! Looking forward to trying Lulu's!!!
This place offers an excellent front porch to take in the square of Round Top! Very family friendly. Lots of young families there with kids. The skinny margaritas are so good! My family and I enjoyed a nice lunch of steak nachos a burrito. Both were pretty good. The service was a bit slow but not holding that against them! Every where is short staffed due to the surge in Covid. So be prepared and be kind to those who actually showed up!
The staff is friendly and the food is delicious, especially the smoky refried beans!
I like their tortilla chips, but I’d say the salsa is just so so. I do like their ceviche. It has a good tartness and the fish is firm. The tortilla soup is also so so. They are definitely on the expensive side. I had a $34.50 lunch ceviche, cup of tortilla soup, and a glass of tea.
