the best restaurant where I was in rom. very tasty, nice atmosphere, cozy and friendly. the portions are not huge as at most tourist sites, but the quality is wonderful. tiramisu was just great. very sad that I discovered it at the end of my stay in rom, hopefully, the next time I am in town will return. WARNING. THIS IS A SCAM RESTAURANT. It is not officially in gambero Rosso but they have a sticker saying they got one for 2021 and 2022. The photos of the food and the chefs are definitely not from here. They do serve food but it is not of any calibre for any recommendations from any guides and you won’t find this restaurant in those official guides despite the stickers in the door! Buyer beware. The zucchini flowers were fresh and perfectly crisp. The cacio pepe with good bite to the pasta. Really loved the wine cookies and pralined hazelnuts

The centre of Rome is full of trattorie or osterie claiming to offer cucina romana they all do, but in most of the cases you would come out with the impression of having eaten low quality, fatty and difficult to digest food. L 'Oste is different for the food and for the overall experience. Massimo and Maria Luisa offer the dishes of the tradizione romana , executed with art and passion. For me, a romano de roma that lives abroad, dining at L 'Oste is reconnecting with my roots, a trip in my memories, a coming home. If you dine there once, you will want to go back for sure.
Dropped in for a drink, due to the rain we stayed and ate. Liver dish to die for, nice veal good pasta. Friendly and worth the review
