What Maria Luisa Cattabiani dislikes about Jacopa:
Unclassifiable aperitif. I'm giving one star just because the environment is pleasant. For the rest, inattentive service despite the empty place (maybe he had to tell me something.... and they don't do non-alcoholic cocktails (why??!! , but above all, they managed to make a serious mistake with a very banal spritz which seemed more like syrup than a cocktail cough. I find it unacceptable and ridiculous that in a plac... View all feedback.

Friday evening, aperitif time: me and some other people are in the Trastevere area and suddenly it starts raining, so we decide to stop at Jacopa for a drink. The environment inside is pleasant, but completely empty: perhaps the alarm bell should have gone off, but now we're inside and order three spritzes and a ginger ginger ale. Hence the catastrophe: spritzes that didn't even come close to a real spritz due to the lack of fever tree (or tonic water or carbonated water!! , tasteless and NOT effervescent, from which one can deduce that the wine used was not even a banal one prosecco but who knows what (maybe tavernello . I clearly told the waitress that the drinks were not good, not a hint of an apology, not an attempt to replace them as professionals should do. Not satisfied, they bring the person who ordered the ginger ale a drink of a different flavor, but at least that one has been replaced. I would like to point out that for €10 per spritz and €5 for a drink, not half an accompanying chip was served. UNQUALIFICABLE place, don't choose it! Definitely not your average hotel restaurant: carefully-researched ingredients that rotate with the seasons and come from ethical producers, an impressive selection of all natural wines, and a menu that while not “traditional Italian”-y is actually a lot more representative of traditional Italian food than the tourist menus. I’m picky when it comes to food, but this nook is yummy and a good value for the products offered. Recommended both for appetizers at the bar (the pulled beef mini bun and fried anchovies are stellar and for a casual-yet-elegant dinner out in a hidden corner of Trastevere : (In the summer, enjoy the terrace. In the winter, lounge in the downstairs lobby Service: Dine in Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
