I was disappointed with the pulled pork. It didn't taste like BBQ. It was more like oven baked or slow cooked and bland and flavorless. The beans and the bun were good though. The owners and atmosphere are amazing! I would definitely recommend this ,establishment. The food is amazing, especially the mac and cheese! The brisket is smoked to perfection and the employees go above and beyond to satisfy the customers. I personally prefer the Loaded options. I'm glad to see this establishment back in town! We've had brisket across the US, and this was surprisingly the best we've had. To be honest, we were headed to Roadhouse for pizza, and they were closed. Our son said J's was recommended by his friends in Madison who went there. A little resistant to go, we went, and we were not disappointed. We will definitely be back. A large group went here after a pickleball tournament. Jen and her staff were able to accommodate all of us and provided exceptional service. The food was delicious with very generous portion sizes.
