Nestled in the scenic Dales, this charming pub offers a mixed dining experience, celebrated for its warmth and hospitality. While some patrons rave about the delicious pies and generous portions, others express disappointment over varying food quality and service inconsistency. The ambience is cozy, albeit in need of updates, but the friendly staff make every effort to ensure a welcoming experience. With classic pub fare and a lively atmosphere, it’s a spot worth exploring, especially after a day of hiking. However, diners should manage expectations regarding specific menu items to enhance their visit.
What Gchns likes about The Rose And Crown:
Great location and lovely country pub We called in for lunch on our way to a wedding I chose lasagne and the portion was enormous It was very tasty and was accompanied by chips My husband had a very large piece of pie and mash The service was good and the landlord was friendly View all feedback.
What ianbK7827NT doesn't like about The Rose And Crown:
Visiting Bainbridge for Beamish rally so decided to book here for Sunday lunch thinking it would be a proper Sunday roast, how dissapointed we were. We both had roast beef,2 slices of the thinnest beef from the butchers deli,4 small boiled pots, even though we asked for mash, frozen veg the smallest yorkshire ever. Not the best we have ever had expensive, £35 with 2 soft drinks. View all feedback.
