We drive 25 miles North to Rexburg just to get our fix for the awesome sushi rolls Da Pineapple Grill has to offer. It 's none like any other sushi bar I 've been to. Overall, it was a bit disappointing. The food was decent; the teriyaki chicken and kalua pork were tasty, but the pineapple katsu was overly sweet. The main issue, however, was the service. This is the absolute best place to eat sushi. Too bad they are only open 4-9 weekdays and 4-10 on weekends. But you can buy their sushi at Broulims in Rexburg.

They 've added a touch of freshly grated ginger to the sauce, and I really love the zest it adds. We don 't mind the drive. It 's worth it. Friendly people, nice atmosphere, makes you forget you 're in Idaho.
Upscale restaurant with a casual and comfortable atmosphere. We came dressed in our casual attire, and was treated first class. Friendly staff eager to help to make our dining experience a success. I had the grilled salmon with mango salsa, and a friend ordered the seared ahi tuna salad. We shared a lettuce wraps appetizer and coconut shrimp appetizer. Presentation was beautiful and colorful. Background island music was enjoyable. We have made it a point to try something new every time we go in. We were told new items were going to be added to already popular menu, to keep things fresh and interesting at Da Pineapple Grill. We're looking forward to that too!
I've lived in Hawaii, Florida, and D.C., and I've never encountered better sushi anywhere else! Da Pineapple Grill also offers authentic and outstanding Hawaiian cuisine! While the wait for food is generally longer than at other restaurants, it's absolutely worth it for the quality of the dishes served! The staff is incredibly friendly and personable, and they have a remarkable ability to be patient! The music and decor transport me back to my time in Hawaii. It's truly a wonderful place!
"Let me make this clear: the food is great—delicious, especially for Rexburg, although it's a bit on the expensive side. However, the service leaves a lot to be desired. I've been a patron since the place opened, and over the 15 years I've been coming here, the wait times for food have always been frustratingly long. Sometimes, you'll find yourself regretting your decision halfway through as you realize you've made a big mistake, but at that point, you're too invested to turn back. So, be cautious when you visit."
