To get there you either have a pleasant hike or take the train and walk up a steep hill. It is worth it! The food is varied and delicious. The vistas are spectacular and the service prompt and friendly. One of my favorite places during my Oberbolzano stay. Great deserts and ice-cream.
Great location, very good food for reasonable prices. Family-friendly with playground nearby. Local specialities should be tried.
The 8-course New Year dinner was fantastic. The wine good. Pleasant music and nice atmosphere. The sunny terrace with the view on the Schlern is always stunning.
I recently visited Lichtenstern for the day from Bolzano. it is a lovely area. We were referred to this restaurant by the tourist info office. The owner unfortunately was quite rude to myself and friends. We were told we would have to wait which we did and his wife seated us and when he saw us sitting in a table he came out yelling at us for invading their home. He would not let us explain that his wife seated us and just kept yelling we were supposed to wait. It was past the time he gave us. That being said there are no other places to go, our waitress was wonderful and the food was good as well but I give them a 2 star for hospitality for his unfair treatment of us.
We went for the dinner menu, and was very impresses by the food and wine quality and the extremely beautiful view. Service was very attentive as well! Very good value for money. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area!
